Miko Santos joined the Gourley Law Group after earning his Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Washington. Miko is from San Diego, but he fell in love with the Pacific Northwest with its beautiful scenery and good people. He decided to stay and plant his roots in the area.
Miko will be focusing his energy and applying his tax training in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, transaction planning and structuring, boundary line disputes, landlord tenant, business formation, contracts and dispute resolution.
Miko has worked as a Federal District Court Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge Thomas Rice, as well as for a Criminal and Family Law firm in Spokane and a small Seattle firm that practiced in the areas of business, taxation, and estate planning.
Miko was involved in the Federal Tax Clinic both in Gonzaga and at University of Washington where he assisted low income individuals in resolving their tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. He enjoyed working with tax law and in 2017 received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for receiving the highest marks in the Taxation of Financial Instruments class.
In his down time, Miko enjoys break dancing and playing instruments such as the guitar, piano, and ukulele. He also likes reading books about finance and economics. Miko is fluent in Tagalog.
